Maria and Sopo's story

Maria Nordin, the founder of Sopo, felt the need for genuine bar soap without unnecessary additives. She wanted products that are as authentic as nature itself. In 2017, fed up with liquid detergents and the chemicals they contain, Maria decided to launch her own, genuine bar soap.

Years ago, Maria was known for her special sensitivity to all chemicals, of which e.g. Helsingin Sanomat and Ilta-Sanomat have written.

Sopo was born. Maria didn't want to compromise on the well-being of your skin, and this idea still guides Sopo.

Maria's great-grandmother was already making soap a century ago, so the enthusiasm for genuine bar soap is in her bones and core! To honor this, Maria adapted her great-grandmother's recipe for Grandma's Rose Bar Soap .
